Mrs. Evelyn Ann (Chappelear) Weaver, age 71, of New Franklin Church Road, Canon, passed away Sunday, October 28, 2018 at her home.
Born September 26, 1947, in Franklin County, she was the daughter of the late Corbett and Nannie (Broome) Chappelear. She graduated from Franklin County High School and was trained as an X-Ray Technician at Crawford W. Long Hospital. She worked in the medical field until her retirement from Cobb Memorial Hospital. She was a member of New Franklin Christian Church. Evelyn was a loving mother and a wonderful cook. She loved cooking for her family and cherished keeping and spoiling her grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother: Stewart Chappelear.
She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Fred Weaver; daughters & sons-in-law: Annette & Tim Boling and Amanda & Erik Lunsford; grandchildren: Brett Boling, Bailee Boling, Brandon Boling, Zoie Boling, Chloe Boling, Jakob Lunsford, Anna Lunsford, and Clayton Lunsford; brother & sister-in-law: Charles & Martha Ann Chappelear; sister & brother-in-law: Sarah & Joe Carson; sister: Melvin Gay; sister-in-law: Gennie Chappelear; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at New Franklin Christian Church with Minister Carl Beckham, Rev. Britt Ginn, and Rev. Tommy Childress officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. At other hours the family will be at the home.
