Marvin Batson Toccoa, GA

Mr. Marvin Jackson Batson, age 84 of Jordan Road, Toccoa, GA passed away Saturday, November 17, 2018 at the Stephens County Hospital.

A son of the late W.H. and Mary Delphia Williams Batson, he was born October 26, 1934 in Habersham County having lived most of his life in Stephens County. He retired from the paint industry and was a member of Sunnyside Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife Mary Nell Powers Batson of the home, four daughters, Lynn and Tom Craig of Toccoa, Terri and Eddie Powers of Toccoa, Kay and John Allgood of Gainesville, Janet & Jared Kaup of Toccoa, one son Tracy and Nicci Batson of Toccoa, 13 grandchildren, Sydney Craig, Catherine Bridges, Ben Bridges, Katie Allgood, Hannah Allgood, Abby Allgood, Taylor Batson, Mackenzie Batson, Ella Batson ,Jovi Kaup, Jeremy Powers, Michael Powers and Blake Powers, 1 great-grandchild Cooper Bridges.

Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at the Hillcrest Chapel of the Acree-Davis Funeral Home with the Reverend David Sosebee and the Reverend Dr. Roy Rogers officiating.

The family will be at the home on Jordan Road and will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Monday, November 19, 2018 from 5 until 8 P.M. Online condolences may be left. www.acree-davisfh.com

The following will serve as pallbearers, Ben Bridges, Tom Craig, Eddie Powers, John Allgood, Jared Kaup, Dale Lingerfelt, Ronnie Williams and Reece Lingerfelt.

Interment will be in the Stephens Memorial Gardens with the Acree-Davis Funeral Home in charge of arrangements for Mr. Marvin Batson
