Seneca – Pauline Gurley Langston, 83, wife of Charles Robert Langston, of 310 Horseshoe Drive, passed away Monday, April 30, 2018 at The Residences at Park Place.

Born in Dahlonega, GA, she was the daughter of the late William Weir Gurley and Ethel Baer Gurley. Mrs. Langston was a retired school teacher who taught at Stephens County, Lumpkin County, Westminster and West Oak High School and was a member of the Westminster Baptist Church.

Survivors in addition to her husband include sons, Charles “Denny” Dennis Langston (Soien) of Seneca, and William Allan Langston (Pamela) of Seneca; brothers, Dr. Allan Weir Gurley of Gainesville, Ga, and Arnold Edward Gurley (Agnes) of Royston, Ga; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Ernest Boyd Gurley and William Benjamin Gurley.

A funeral service will be held 2 pm, Wednesday, May 2, 2018 at the Chapel of Sandifer Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 12-2 pm, prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Stephens Memorial Gardens.
